From 2005 to 2008 Capuano was Senior Vice President responsible for development in North America. In 2008, his area of responsibility was expanded to include the entire United States and Canada, as well as the Caribbean and Latin America. Later, in 2009, Tony became Executive Vice President and Global Chief Development Officer of Marriott International. And, in February 2021, he got appointed as the new CEO of Marriott.
