Rose is not just a good-looking socialite, but he has tried his hand in a variety of different ventures, from restaurants to real estate and clothes. Rose worked in real estate for a while until the recession forced him out of business in 2008. Not long after he was noticed and chosen for a part in the reality TV show, “Southern Charm” He also started his own restaurant called the Palace Hotel at that period.

Rose attended Hilton Head Preparatory School until 9th grade then he transferred to Episcopal High School. He spent some time enrolled at the University of Georgia before moving over to Owen Graduate School of Management where he graduated with an MBA in Finance.
Later Rose attended the Vanderbilt University School of Management. That degree came in handy, considering Shep now handles many business ventures.
