After several performances, they were discovered by Gene Simmons who tried to get the band signed but was unsuccessful. In 1985 they met Jon Bon Jovi, who convinced Mercury A&R to sign Cinderella, and the move propelled the group to success. They would release several albums including “Heartbreak Station”, “Long Cold Winter”, and “Night Songs”, with some of the songs that became very popular from their albums include “Shake Me”, “Gypsy Road”, and “Nobody’s Fool”. The band also reunited, and signed with Sony Records to release “Once upon a…” which was a compilation album. They also toured sporadically over the next few years, most recently in 2006 for their 20th anniversary, and then Tom released his solo album “The Way Life Goes”. Tom has also stated that because of the condition of his voice, he has to rest a lot, and re-train to put it back in better condition.

For his personal life, it is known that Tom married Emily in 1987, and she was responsible for the band logo, joining the band while on tour. They would eventually divorce, and he would then marry singer Savannah Snow. They have a son who was born in 2004.
