Sahr Ngaujah started working since the age of 15 at theatres with a connection to big names such as Freddie Hendricks, Gerrit Timmers, Falk Richter, Del Hamilton, and Tim Habeger.
Ngaujah first made his film (drama) appearance in the 1997‘s First Time Felon where he portrayed as the Smiling Inmate.
In continuation to his acting career, he then went on to appear in How I Spent My Summer Vacation, Passing Glory, Last Resort, Kensho at the Bedfellow, A Lesson Before Dying, Stomp the Yard, Money Monster, and Patti Cake$.

In 2012, Sahr Ngaujah won the Back Stage Garland Award in the category of Performance for his work at the musical, Fela!, at the Ahmanson Theatre in California at the presentation for Jay-Z, Will Smith, and Jada Pinkett Smith.
