Born in California, Parr attended Cal State University-Northbridge and graduated with a degree in Radio, TV and Film. Right after graduation he started his career working in television as a production services supervisor for the network ABC. Parr then shifted to become a stand up comedian and found success for years. After his first composition “We Like Ugly Woman” became a huge hit, he decided to record parody music under the name Bobby Jimmy. From Washington his listeners later expanded to 45 cities and three million fans. He is now also has a weekend show entitled “On Air with Russ Parr”.
