He is a musician and actor, best known for being a part of the television series “Gossip Girl” as the character Dan Humphrey. Due to his parents’ divorce when he was 12 years old, Penn had to split time between Woodlake, Virginia and Seattle, Washington. He attended Woolridge Elementary and then transferred to St. Christopher’s School where he played soccer on a team his father coached. There he joined the Seattle Children’s Theatre and was soon participating in productions while also doing voice-overs for radio stations. The following year he had also voiced for the game “Mario Tennis 64”, and made a guest appearance in an episode of “Will & Grace”. Soon he was appearing in other shows such as “What I Like About You” and “Daddio, The Brothers Garcia”. He would start to gain recognition when he became part of the series “The Young and the Restless” as Phillip Chancellor IV. He was nominated a Young Artist Award for his performance. Badgley then appeared in “Do Over” which lasted for less than a season and then appeared in “Drive Thru”. He continued this trend of Warner Brother series such as “The Bedford Diaries” and “The Mountain”, all of which were short lived.
