Joseph Bastianich was born on 17 September 1968, in Astoria, New York City USA of Italian ancestry, and is a famous cook, television personality and the writer of cooking books. Joe’s career as a professional cook and television personality began in the early 1990s, and has gained him a lot of acclaim and considerable wealth.

In 1993, with the help of parents Joe was able to open his first restaurant,called Becco. As it was very successful and added a lot of money to Joe Bastianich’s net worth, they decided to open even more restaurants. However, Joe’s parents divorced and Bastianich started to search for other partners to open restaurants with them, one of whom was Mario Batali, who helped Joe open Babbo Ristorante e Enoteca, which was soon acclaimed by The New York Times, gaining three stars  positively effecting Joe Bastianich’s net worth considerably. The success of their first restaurant encouraged them to swiftly open seven more restaurants, which are the main sources of  Joe’s net worth, and his popularity among others in this industry.
