Yvette Prieto, born on March 1979, is a Cuban-American model, also famously known as the wife of former basketball star and now owner of National Basketball Association team the Charlotte Hornets, Michael Jordan.

Born in Cuba, Prieto took up Business Management in college and then after graduation worked for her father for a while. Later, she became a commercial and runway model, with Alexander Wang being one of the most notable designers that she has worked with. Her early years working with her father and her profession as a model helped her build her net worth.
In 2008, Prieto’s life changed when she met basketball star Michael Jordan, at a Miami night club, with reports saying that Jordan noticed Prieto due to her ‘freak dancing’. Since being with the basketball legend, Prieto’s life has come into the spotlight, having to attend red carpet events, and being spotted by the paparazzi from time to time. Later on in 2009 the two officially became a couple and moved in together into a lavish house in Kendall, Florida.
After three years in a relationship, in 2011 Jordan proposed to Prieto and the couple married in 2013. The wedding was held in Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea with 500 witnesses consisting of their closest family and friends. Later the ceremony was followed by a luxurious reception at the Bears Club golf course with another 1,500 guests. Some of the names at the grand reception included Tiger Woods, Scottie Pippen and Spike Lee, with Usher and Robin Thicke who also performed for the couple. Reports say that the wedding cost a total of $10 million.
Aside from being a power couple they are also a philanthropic one; Prieto along with her husband Jordan decided to refuse to accept gifts on their wedding day. The couple advised all the guests at their wedding to direct their gifts to the James R. Jordan Foundation instead of giving to them. All of the flowers received during the nuptials were forwarded to the Jupiter Medical Center.
In terms of Prieto’s personal life, upon marrying in 2013, she and Jordan welcomed their identical twin daughters Victoria and Ysabel in February of 2014. Prieto also became stepmom to Jordan’s three children, a product of his previous marriage.
Prieto is also known to have dated singer Julio Iglesias, brother of well-known singer Enrique Iglesias.
