Yadier Molina is the son of Benjamin Molina, Sr., who was known as an amateur baseball player and was elected into the Puerto Rican baseball Hall of Fame in 2002, and Gladys Matta; he is the younger brother of José and Bengie, both of whom are baseball players as well.
