Voddie celebrated his 31st wedding anniversary with his wife, Bridget this year on 30th June. Describing how he ended up getting married to his wife, Voddie dedicated a post to his wife in their 30th marriage anniversary. He wrote,
30 years ago today, I was in the middle of what should have been an uneventful summer. I was twenty years old, and had just finished my sophomore year at @riceuniversity.
But that ‘uneventful’ summer day turned out to be the most important and memorable day of my life, because 30 years ago today… amid cries of, “you’re too young,” and “It will never last.” I married the girl of my dreams who would go on to become the mother of our nine children, the best friend I would ever have, and the bedrock of a family that would overcome generations of brokenness to lay a new foundation and direction for generations to come.
We were young… We were ‘crazy’… We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into… HOWEVER… By God’s grace, we’ve walked together for 30 years… in a row! God be praised!
Out of their everlasting conjugal life, Voddie and his wife are blessed with 9 children who are named Jasmine, Trey, Elijah, Asher, Judah, Micah, Safya, Amos, and Simeon.
Voddie Baucham Education
Mr. Baucham first graduated from Houston Baptist University with a Bachelors’s degree in Christianity and Sociology. He also holds multiple other degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div.), Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (D.Min.), an honorary degree from Southern California Seminary (D.D.).
Not only that, but Voddie Baucham has also obtained an additional post-graduate degree from the University of Oxford, England (Regent’s Park College).
