So far, The Try Guys has been in nine seasons. As of May 2018, the team is no longer affiliated with Buzzfeed as it started its own company and switched to its own online website, The Try Guys

As of 2020, the channel has over 7.5 million viewers, and has so far recorded over 1.5 billion views. It can get on average 1.8 million views per day from various sources. This would produce an average income of approximately $9,000 a day ($3.3 million a year) from the advertisements on the videos. YouTubers get paid between $2 – $5 per 1000 monetized views after cutting YouTube.

Monetized views range from 40%-60% of total views. Both of these are affected by many factors such as the played on screen, the viewer’s position, the ad inventory, how many advertisements are on a video, how many people miss advertisements, audience engagement etc. The cost of viewing the ad is based on an auction based on views between advertisers.

Advertisers must bid at least $0.01 for each view. There’s also a system known as Google Preferred where deep-pocketed companies can target advertising on top 5 percent of the most popular content. The ad levels are higher than average here. YouTubers also earn extra from YouTube Red subscribers who pay a monthly fee to view premium content on YouTube and watch videos without commercials. They get paid here, based on their videos viewing time. The longer the viewer watches their videos, the more money they receive.
