Alecia Beth Moore was born on 8 September 1979, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania USA, of German and Irish (father) and Lithuanian-Jewish (mother) descent. Known under her stage name of Pink – stylized as P!nk – she is a singer-songwriter, actress and model, inspired by her father who was a guitar player, to join the music scene when she was 14. She tried herself as a hip-hopper, rave and lead singer, joined a girls music band “The Middleground”, and two years later formed the band “Choice”, where her nickname Pink was born.
