Micah LeVar Troy was born on 18 November 1977, in Augusta, Georgia, USA, of part-Haitian descent. Troy is a rapper, best known for being a part of the group Down South Georgia Boys or D.S.G.B. He’s also had a solo career that has earned him several awards. All of his endeavors have helped put his net worth to where it is today.

Troy attended Creekside High School, and after matriculating went to Paine College. There he would decide to pursue a career in rap music, coming up with the name Pastor Troy as an ode to his father being a pastor. It was also a play on the character name Castor Troy from the film “Face/Off” which stars John Travolta and Nicolas Cage.

He released his first album in 1999 entitled “We Ready (I Declare War)”. He was also featured on the Ludacris album “Back for the First Time”. Troy then became the front man for DSGB, a group who was formed in his home town. He would also make collaborations, most notably working with Lil’ John on several songs. In 2002, he released the album “Universal Soldier”, which found success in numerous states. His song “Are We Cuttin” became part of the soundtrack of the film “xXx”, and the album itself debuted in the 13th spot of the Billboard 200. Two years later he released the album “By Any Means Necessary”, but afterwards was released from his contract with Universal because of creative disputes. He then released “Face Off, Part II” and would make guest appearances in other artists’ songs.

In 2006, Pastor released three albums – “Stay Tru”, “By Choice Or By Force”, and “Atlanta 2 Memphis”, the latter of which is a collaborative album with Criminal Manne. His album “Stay Tru” debuted in 150th spot of the Billboard 200, afterward which he would sign with two record labels Power Records and SMC. In 2009, he released the album “Ready for War”, his 16th solo album. This then led to seven more studio albums until his latest release in 2012 entitled “The Last OutLaw”. All contributed to his net worth.

Troy then appeared in the film “We Was Homeboyz”, and the following year released “The Streets Need You”. He has also produced mixtapes, most of which were showcased on YouTube. In 2014, he released the album “Welcome to the Rap Game”, and then worked on “WAR (We Are Ready)” which was released with a documentary entitled “WAR in Atlanta”, featuring Troy and his perspective of the music industry.

Troy has won several awards throughout the course of his career; these include the Independent Icon Award from the company That Rabbit. He also received a Legends of ATL Award from BMI.

Not much is known about Troy’s personal life, although there are rumours of an on-off relationship with “Little Women: Atlanta” star Ashley “Minnie” Ross, including a child.
