N.O.R.E.’s early years were a bit rough. During his time in prison for relatively minor misdemeanours, he met Kiam Holley whom he became good friends with. After the two got released in prison, they immediately worked together to create music.

N.O.R.E.’s first stage name was Noreaga and Holley’s was Capone and together they formed the group Capone-N-Noreaga (CNN). The duo got signed with Penalty Recordings in 1996 and after one year their first album “The War Report” was released, which became an instant hit in the hip hop community with their classic hip hop sound. Their singles “Illegal Life” and “T.O.N.Y.” topped the charts and the two immediately became famous. With the success of their album, their net worth also increased tremendously.

Despite the success of their first album, unfortunately Holley was sent back to jail and N.O.R.E. was left on his own. He decided to continue with his career, and released his first, self-titled solo album “N.O.R.E.” that stands for “Niggaz on the Run Eatin’”. The reception of his first solo album proved to be a success, even exceeding the achievement of the duos first album, so his net worth rose considerably.

N.O.R.E. released his second solo album “Melvin Flynt – Da Hustler” in 1999, which became a success as well. When Holley was released in jail, the two once again teamed-up, and released their second album “The Reunion”.

After three successful solo albums, N.O.R.E. experimented with his next albums. His Puerto Rican background became one of the major influences of his music; he released Spanish songs and introduced reggaeton music to his fans. In 2006, he released his album “N.O.R.E. y la Familia… Ya Tu Sabe”. Although it did not perform well compared to his previous albums it was still well-received by his fans.
