In 1996, Lisa was brought to FOX 5 in Atlanta and began working as an anchor and reporter for several different shows. She’s been there for almost 21 years. As Fox did not renew her contract, Lisa chose to leave her job in 2016 to spend more time with her family and to focus on other projects.

Talking about Lisa Rayam’s married life and her husband, there is a tragic story that follows. Lisa Rayam was first married to her husband, Lee Norris Rayam, a poet, and activist. Unfortunately, Lisa’s husband was murdered while the couple was on vacation in Jamaica, early in their marriage in 1994.
Lisa named Noel Riley, a 30-year-old craftsman, as the man who killed her husband, Lee Norris Rayam. She and her husband woke up at 1 a.m. on the 2nd of June, to the sounds outside their villa. Rayam said that she saw figures moving through the bedroom window and that the figures stayed outside amid her cries for them to leave.
The attacker forced him through the fence, telling her to give her money bag. Lisa threw her bag, with $11 and two credit cards, and asked the man to quit. But the fate had something horrendous planned as the intruder shot Lisa’s husband. The doctor testified that Rayam had died of a gunshot wound on the scene.
However, the Jamaican Court of Appeal reversed the verdict, arguing that Lisa’s evidence was insufficient to show that Riley was an attacker.
