Linsey first joined WJRT-TV, a Flint station owned by ABC, as a News reporter in 2001. From 2001 to 2003, she worked there. She subsequently covered big events such as Hurricane Katrina and the Olympic Winter 2006 and 2004 Olympic Summer Olympics.
After four consecutive years of service, she joined ABC News in 2007. Her news reports covered significant events such as the Las Vegas Shooting, Harvey Weinstein’s claim, the MeToo campaign, the Boston Marathon Bombing, the Nairobi Hall Massacre, and many of President Obama’s overseas trips.
She even got a chance to report Hudson and Michael Jackson’s death, in 2009. Because of her wonderful work as a news anchor for ABC News, Lesley was honored twice with the Emmy Awards and the Edward R. Murrow Regional Award.
Besides being a news reporter, Linsey is also an author. On 6 February 2018, she released a children’s book entitled The World is Awake: A Celebration of Daily Blessings, which later ended up becoming the best seller.
