Larry David was raised in Sheepshead Bay, in Brooklyn, and was educated at Sheepshead Bay High School. Later, he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Maryland and another degree in Business Administration from the Robert H. Smith School of Business.
At the beginning of his career Larry David worked as a stand up comedian, and at the same time did other jobs as a limousine driver, store clerk and others to support himself financially. In 1980, he debuted on television as a cast member and writer of the series “Fridays” (1980–82). Later, he appeared on “Saturday Night Live” (1984–85), and meanwhile appeared on the big screen in the main cast of the comedy film “Can She Bake a Cherry Pie?” (1983), and drama film “Second Thoughts” (1983). From 1989 until 1998, Larry worked on the sitcom “Seinfeld” as a writer, co-creator and actor.
