Keith Radford served as an Anchor/Reporter for CTV in Toronto and CKVR-TV in Barrie, Ontario. He had been anchoring and reporting at stations in Windsor/Detroit, Ottawa, and Toronto for 11 years before joining television news. Radford is also the former director of news for the popular CKLW radio station in the Windsor/Detroit market.
Keith joined the Eyewitness News team in 1987 and has since anchored a combination of broadcasts. Radford is also Buffalo’s longest-running TV anchorman. Keith came to Buffalo after five years on KUTV-TV, the NBC station in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He flew with the U.S. Air Force to cover Hurricane Andrew in Florida. Keith also covered the first two weeks of the O.J. Simpson’s double-murder story in Los Angeles, Keith was the main live reporter for ABC News.
In addition to anchoring duties, in his 30 years, he has received several awards for his extensive reporting. Radford spent a week at the Marine boot camp in South Carolina, profiled Western New York seamen on board the Atlantic Navy frigate, and traveled to the Middle East with local air force reservists to cover the Persian Gulf War in 1990.
Radford, who started working part-time this year, said in a telephone interview that he expects to continue working under a new deal after his present contract runs out at the end of the year. “I don’t know for sure yet, but I think I’m going to stay a little longer,” said Radford.
