Karan was educated at Greenlawns High School and afterwards graduated with a Masters degree from H.R. College of Commerce and Economics. Karan debuted as the film director and writer with the all-time blockbuster film “Kuch Kuck Hota Hai” (1998) which won eight Filmfare Awards and the National Film Award for the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment, a very successful and promising start to his career, and a significant start to his net worth. Karan continued at this pace, and created a number of films which received awards at the Filmfare Awards, including “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham” (2001), “Kal Ho Naa Ho” (2003), “Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna” (2006), “Wake Up Sid” (2009), “We Are Family” (2010), and “Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu” (2012). At the beginning of his career, Karan was interested in numerology and created the titles of films according to it: the first letter of the title and one more word began with the letter K, however, after some time he ceased this idea. Regardless of this quirkiness, all the above films added to Karan Johar’s net worth.
