Jimmy Snuka is the son of Charles Thomas and Louisa Smith; however, he lived with his mother as both of them were married to another person. Thus, when he was a child, he moved to the Marshall Islands with his mother and stepfather, and later to Hawaii, where he started a career as a bodybuilder. Jimmy’s professional career began during the 1970s, fighting in Hawaii, before switching to NWA Pacific Northwest, under the management of Dan Owen in 1973.
