Jimbo Fisher Career Bio

Fisher played with the Chicago Bruisers at the Arena Football League in 1988, then joined Terry Bowden at Samford as a graduate assistant coach working quarterbacks from 1988 to 1990. Subsequently, he was hired as a full-time offensive coordinator and quarterback coach. His contract promised a salary of $215,000, with the potential to raise the total package to $400,000.

Jimbo Fisher’s formal presentation as Chief Coach took place at the Florida State University Press Conference on January 7, 2010. In eight years in Florida State, Fisher won an 83–23 record, a 2013 BCS national championship, three ACC conference championships, four Atlantic Division titles (three straight, one shared), four AP Poll Top 10 finishes, and four bowl game victories.

On December 1, 2017, Fisher resigned as the head coach at Florida State University to accept the same job at Texas A&M University. Fisher signed a 10-year, $75 million contract with the Aggies.

Jimbo Fisher New Wife Courtney Harrison Wedding

Jimbo had met his new wife, Courtney Harrison Fisher, during his coaching days at the FSU. Fisher married his now-wife in the summer of 2020 and the couple lives in College Station.

Fisher and Harrison were a couple when the former Florida State Head Coach arrived at College Station. She was introduced as a member of the Fisher family in December 2017, along with Fisher’s children from his previous marriage.

Courtney Harrison is originally from Tallahassee, Florida; she worked as a Financial Representative of Guardian for North Florida Financial and Manager at Disability Insurance.

Candi was born in 1969 in Auburn, Alabama, USA. She’s the only daughter of Franklin Coogler and Suzanne Ballard. She grew up with her mother and brothers, Dustin Cale Coogler and Franklin Craig Coogler. Unfortunately, Franklin died of a car crash in 2011.

Candi approached Jimbo Fisher in 1987 at ‘Samford University.’ He played as the quarterback of his university team, and in the same year he was named ‘Division III National Player of the Year.’ After two years of seeing each other, Candi and Fisher were married on July 22, 1989.

The divorce of the pair was confirmed on 10 December 2015. The reason for their divorce has not yet been revealed. Rumors later broke that Candi had been involved in extramarital affairs. During the divorce proceedings, the names of former football player Taylor Jacobs and former FSU tennis player Owen Long were listed. Jimbo paid his ex-wife an amount of $3.4 million and $4,500 a month for her child care.

Fisher’s son Ethan was diagnosed with Fanconi anemia, a rare genetic disorder, in 2011. The diagnosis motivated Ethan’s parents, Jimbo and Candi, to begin the Kidz1stFund National Foundation.

In addition, Trey, Fisher’s oldest son, is attending the Martin’s University of Tennessee where he is the quarterback for the football team.
