He attended Hobbs High School, where he carried out his love for music, as he recorded his first album. Upon matriculation, he enrolled at Liberty University, from which he graduated.
While in college, Guy’s musical career really began, as he started to work as a studio singer, collaborating with such great musicians as Carman, Amy Grand and Shania Twain, among others. At that time, he was also a member of the Christ Church Choir, and soon after he met gospel singer Bill Gaither.
