Fred`s career began in the 1930s, firstly appearing in Broadway productions of “Three’s a Crowd (1930–31), and “Roberta” (1933-1934). Thanks to the initial success, he earned his first screen role in the film “Grand Old Girl” (1935), which was soon followed by an appearance in the film “The Gilded Lily” the same year. Little by little his career progressed, and by the end of the 1930s he had more than 20 roles to his name, which certainly added to his net worth.
