After high school, she became a student at Los Angeles Pierce College and California State University, Northridge, but in no time, she realized that she was just wasting her time, so she dropped out of education and began pursuing a career as a songwriter.

Diane’s career began in the early 1980s, when her publishing company signed a contract with EMI Music. The first name was Warren Peace, but she later changed it to Realsongs.
