Since the early days he was a fan of the video game “Dungeons & Dragons”, and novels Star Wars and Dragonlace, which inspired him to start a career of his own.
He applied for a graphic designer position at Blizzard after a friend`s recommendation, however, he thought it was a graphic designer studio, instead of game developing studio. His first project at Blizzard was the Justice League Task Force, a competitive fighting game, for which he created artwork and character animation, also working on artwork, illustrations and the game`s documentation for Warcraft: Orcs And Humans. Little by little his role in the studio increased, and for the Warcraft II: Tides Of Darkness, he created the universe and also designed several missions and scenarios. The following year, Blizzard released Diablo, which would became a very successful game; Chris co-created the universe of the game alongside Bill Roper. For the sequel of Diablo, Diablo II released in 2000, Chris created the story, artwork and script as well.
