Those who have seen the movie are well aware of this fact. But, what you don’t know is about the preparation that went in between Bobby and Cinthya Carmon to play those roles with perfection.
During an interview, Cinthya Carmon, who plays the onscreen wife of Bobby shared the details of how the trained for the movie. Cynthia expressed that, three months before they started shooting; she and co-star Bobby would pretend to be married in many ways in order to get into their characters’ mindsets. In her own words,
“I was rehearsing with Bobby for about a month and a half and we got very close. I’ve never said this before, but I remembered it the other day, and he and I, we wore wedding rings for a few months before we started shooting. We slept in the same house and the same bed for a few weekends, just preparing for the role.
Cynthia even stated that the she was getting used to the way of living while she and Bobby were building their characters.
We both went very, very deep into preparing the backstory and the chemistry for these characters. And I got used to that. I got really cozy in that way of living.”
Well, the way Bobby and Cynthia played the convincing role of a perfect husband and wife; now makes sense.
